Overview
Certificate II in Hairdressing is considered by the industry to be the pre occupational level qualification required by employers to function effectively in the hair salon. *This qualification, does not give an individual an industry qualification however leads directly into Certificate III in Hairdressing. It is based on the National Hairdressing Competency standards packaged at the AQF Level 2.

Qualification requirements
To achieve a Certificate II in Hairdressing a total of thirteen (13) units of competency must be completed. 10 core units and 3 electives.

COURSE DURATION
The time frame for this course will be totally dependent on the course structure you choose to embark on. However on a full time basis it will be completed in approximately 1 school term, extra hours will not incur additional fees, we want our students to be the best they can before they complete their training
Notes
* Completion of the Certificate II in Hairdressing (WRH20106), which includes 13 units covered by the Certificate III, only qualifies someone to work as a salon assistant or salon receptionist. A person with the Cert II is not permitted to work as a hairdresser (that is, they may not receive any pay or any other reward for the duties they perform as a hairdresser).
